Jonathan Alles

Jonathan Alles is excited to be completing his 5th and final year of study in the Architectural Engineering Program at The Pennsylvania State University. Jon will be graduating in May, 2017 with an Integrated Bachelor and Master of Architectural Engineering degree, focusing on mechanical design. Jon is a member of multiple organizations, including being the treasurer of Chi Alpha a campus ministry, a student member of ASHRAE, and the Penn State Chapter of the Architectural Engineering Institute (AEI).

Jon has worked at Barton Associates Inc., the largest independent MEP consulting firm headquartered in Central, PA, for two summers and throughout the school year. Through this internship, Jon has been introduced to the building industry, specifically HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection design. Jon also learned crucial engineering skills, such as design and integration. Jon was also a participant in CoLab Studio, an advanced design studio focused on collaboration between multiple disciplines. Jon will attain EIT status upon graduation as he passed the FE exam this summer.

Jon has been involved with multiple other student activities, predominately Chi Alpha campus ministry. Jon has been involved with Chi Alpha since the summer before his freshman year and has been the treasurer for a year. Jon also enjoys playing multiple sports including frisbee, football, racquetball, and softball for which he played in a church league.
